Stevens County Mentorship Program

Designed to serve 7th through 9th graders in four school districts (Chewelah, Valley, Springdale, and Wellpinit) in Stevens County, Washington. The program introduces students to health careers in the 7th grade, then provides mentorship through their 8th and 9th grade years, along with a health science curriculum.

All WSU Labs for 8th graders are held in the gym at Jenkins, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Before Spring Break, Jenkins Jr/Sr High School 7th graders had the opportunity to join other regional schools at WSU’s Downtown Health Sciences Campus for a hands-on day of learning and exploration in healthcare careers. Thank you to WSU and all the presenters for inspiring the next generation!
