Hagan Scholarship Foundation

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide recipients with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free. Free workshops, free Schwab Brokerage Accounts, and free Study Abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. Hagan Scholars can apply for a graduate scholarship after earning their undergraduate degree. Hagan Scholars have attended 429 colleges and universities located in 48 states.

Washington State Fair Foundation - Blue Ribbon Scholarships

Students only need to submit one application for all our scholarships offered online. The application system will automatically apply students for the scholarships for which they qualify. The Washington State Fair Foundation awards $159,000 in scholarships annually to Washington students.

Jr/Sr High Art Show Competition Guide

Korum Family Arts Scholarship Competition

The Korum Family Arts Scholarship is intended to promote appreciation for the arts, encourage young artists in pursuit of artistic and educational growth, and showcase the uniqueness of Washington State.  Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who complete the online application process and enter their art by the deadline.

Association of Computer Professionals in Education (ACPE) 

Washington and Oregon graduating seniors who have been actively involved in the use of technology during their high school years and plan to continue studying technology at a higher educational institution are eligible to apply. Five scholarships worth up to $3,000 apiece will be awarded!

WSOS is committed to preparing Washington students for Washington jobs. Over the past 12 years, Washington State Opportunity Scholarship (WSOS) has supported more than 15,000 Scholars. Opportunity Scholars come from every corner of Washington state and have gone on to become scientists, nurses, engineers, and more.

American Indian Endowed Scholarship

The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 American Indian Endowed Scholarship. The American Indian Endowed Scholarship (AIES) helps financially needy students with close social and cultural ties to an American Indian community in the state of Washington. Students can use the scholarships at public colleges and many independent colleges in Washington.

Washington State School Retirees' Association (WSSRA) Scholarships

WSSRA invites senior students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply for the available scholarships. These awards are given to students who plan a career in the field of education.

American Legion Auxiliary - Department Gift Scholarships

The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Washington, will award two Scholarships of $400 each.  One Scholarship will be reserved for the department entry for the National President's Scholarship.  The remaining Scholarship will be awarded to a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a deceased or disabled veteran.

Veteran

 

Graduating Seniors can apply for any of the ALA scholarships listed above if they are a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a living, deceased, or disabled veteran. Applications must be returned to the local Unit #54 here in Chewelah, except for the Children of Warriors, which is online only.

 

Innovia Foundation Scholarships
Each year, Innovia awards over $400,000 in scholarships to deserving students who are college-bound or pursuing vocational or technical training. Single scholarship awards range between $500 and $4,000.

Bess Mikalson Scholarship

Description: Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates of high schools in Ferry or Stevens Counties, or of Selkirk High School in Pend Oreille County. Students must attend state-supported (two or four-year) colleges or universities in Washington State. Awards are granted primarily based on financial need. Merit and community involvement are also taken into consideration.

Eileen Hutchison Scholarship

Description: Applicants must be female residents of Stevens County, WA, who are studying medical or dental health or other related fields. The primary factors for consideration are academic achievement, financial need, and good personal character. 

Over 50 scholarships are represented that students may apply for via one common application!

Elks Scholarships/Grants

Applicants for national foundation scholarships/grants will be judged on scholarship application, leadership, and financial need. Scholarships are offered by the Washington State Elks Association to members of our community and high school seniors who demonstrate scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Washington State Elks also offers a vocational grant and legacy awards for high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of Elks members.

Horatio Alger Scholarship

Horatio Alger Association administers over 70 scholarship programs, offering opportunities for students in various stages of their academic careers to achieve their educational goals and realize their potential. By filling out one application, you will be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible, except for some Specialized Scholarships. 600+ scholarships up to $25,000 each! If integrity, determination, and courage describe you, then you have what it takes to be a Horatio Alger Scholar. To qualify, you must have at least a 2.0 GPA and require financial assistance to attend college.

 Peggy Meyer Memorial Scholarship

Panorama Gem and Mineral Club Scholarship

The Panorama Gem and Mineral Club will no longer give scholarships to individual students. Instead, they are providing funds to the "Spokane College Foundation". The funds provided are for any student graduating from a high school in Stevens County planning to attend SCC and SFCC. To access the scholarship, complete the general application. You'll be entered in the pool to be considered for over 100 scholarships open to all SCC and SFCC students.

Sea Mar Scholarships 

Sea Mar will be awarding $1,000 scholarships to students who are of migrant or seasonal farm worker backgrounds. In addition, Sea Mar offers a $2,500 scholarship to students who demonstrate a history of advocacy, responsibility, accountability, and perseverance. Impact Nature Scholarships 

Do you have a passion for wildlife, outdoor recreation, and preservation of our outdoor spaces?
Impact Nature is a local charity based in Newport, Washington, offering two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue a science-related field of study. For example, biology, environmental science, wildlife biology, ecology, zoology, conservation science, forestry, or marine science may be applicable.

The Chokes N' Spokes Car Club Scholarship is available to the graduating seniors from several local schools, including Jenkins Jr/Sr High. The Scholarship awarded will be a minimum of $500.

Intuit for Education and EVERFI invite students to participate in the Financial Futures Student Scholarship Contest to share how learning about tax topics has impacted their lives.

Classified Public Employees Association Scholarship

Students eligible for the Classified Public Employees Association Scholarship must be graduating seniors from Jenkins High School who are children, step-children, or grandchildren of CPEA members.  Applicants may be planning to attend any post-secondary school (technical, community college, or 4-year college).  Three $500 scholarship will be awarded each year.

Chewelah Scholarship Foundation (Dollars for Scholars) 

Any full-time Chewelah student who will graduate from high school during the current school year is eligible to apply.  Scholarships are available for vocational and trade schools, two- and four-year colleges, and technical schools. Completion of this application qualifies the applicant for almost 20 local scholarships. The Washington State Auto Dealers Association (WSADA) will award two (2) $3,000

scholarships to individuals enrolling and four (4) $3,000 scholarships to individuals

currently enrolled in a Washington State automotive technology program.

Charity Chicks of Chewelah Scholarship

All graduating seniors who will pursue a postsecondary education may apply for one or more of the $1000 scholarships, which will be awarded.
